No Greater Joy
I shall have no greater joy than to hear that we are walking in truth. What a way to live! God wants us to live not just to exist.
We are a world full of people thinking we are living. We just exist because we have no real truth. Just like the woman at the well, we can achieve small venues of joy; but, we can never really be satisfied with life. We just exist because we are not created with the ability to live life abundantly.
To live abundantly, we must receive the truth of the gospel. The gospel allows us to receive salvation from the Holy Spirit so that we may live forever. Salvation happens when we receive the truth of the gospel. Truth saves us.
Let us all have great joy because we know we are walking in truth. Shall we embark on our 2007 journey and receive the joy of walking in truth? We need to enter the New Year with truth to equip us on our journey. Truth equips us with the answer – God’s answer!
Truth comes from God’s grace.
NAU John 1:16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
I know if we are walking in truth, then the grace of God is upon us. If we have truth and grace, then the New Year will be a year of abundant living. Our abundant living, enriched by the spiritual disciplines we have been mastering, prepares us well for the New Year. So together, let us continue to practically apply the principles of our core card to our lives. Let us continue to read once a day for thirty days each book of the month. Let us continue to diligently spend time in prayer. Let us continue mastering our spiritual disciplines, so we may walk in the grace and truth of God and receive His full attention and His full blessings.
