PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dr. Varner currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at College of Biblical Studies - Houston and continues to be a driving force in the development and biblical education of its diverse student body.  He helped organize and serves as President of OnePowerfulMovement, Inc., an evangelistic outreach organization meeting the social, economic, physical and spiritual needs of communities. 

PRESENT MINISTRY

Dr. Varner is founder and serves as Senior Pastor of Bible Way Fellowship Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.  Within the 26 years of his service Dr. Varner has organized and established the Bible Way Christian Academy which serves the educational and spiritual development of God’s children.  Through OnePowerfulMovement, Inc., Dr. Varner has developed the faith-based corporation to provide educational and economic revitalization opportunities to South Houston and neighboring communities.  Additionally, in a desire to equip, empower and unite faith-based leaders, Dr. Varner has developed Vika Ministries which trains and mentors pastors, ministers and their spouses by promoting biblical standards to these individuals, their families, and their communities.  He is also founder of God’s Elite Spiritual Forces, a dedicated ministry bringing leadership and development to men by equipping them for effective spiritual battle in the lives of their families and communities. 

Dr. Varner believes whole heartedly in supporting the work of like-minded believers in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Dr. Ivory L. Varner and his Assistant Pastors travel annually on a missionary trip to Kazakhstan located in Central Asia.  Dr. Varner has the opportunity to teach other Pastors and/or leaders at the Central Asia Leadership Training Center located in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. Dr. Varner makes an impact around the world by spreading the gospel through sound biblical doctrines and philosophies.

Dr. Varner is dedicated to teaching and preaching the Word of God and is committed to effectively presenting the gospel from his weekly radio broadcast every Tuesday @ 10 am on   Houston.

Married to Mary, and father of two children:  Catina, Ivory, Jr., and four grandchildren.
